Lesson Twenty: Drawing with charcoal

I like charcoal. It’s messy and it’s fun to smudge with your fingers. I thought I would do the whole still life that I had done yesterday, but then decided to simplify it. And truly it would have been just as good to have just done the apple. I think one of the reasons why I like using pastels and charcoal is because I don’t start with white paper, so I actually get to add the white as I want it (instead of covering everything but the white) so it really seems like it is much more vibrant and vivid.

Pain before - an aching 7.
Pain during - didn’t even think about it once. Not once. Wow!!
Pain after - definitely not as high as it was before. :)

Such a different from experience from yesterday as far as trying to concentrate. :) Gotta remember days like today when I’m having days like yesterday.
