Lesson Twenty Six: More Proportion

So this is the end of the 31 days... and I'm only 5 lessons behind. Not bad, eh?

Finishing the idea of proportion - it's a bit different for kids. Toddlers are five of their heads (not five adult heads) tall, and an 8 yr old is six heads tall.

Did you know that you are half of your height by the age of two? The things you learn.... :)

I enjoyed this. I was able to concentrate on the necessary math because I wasn't feeling squirrelly from meds, or irritable from pain.

The grid was to help compare easily the figures, but it means that the toddler looks bigger, because it's all in proportion to his head, which was made the same size as the 8 yr olds' head.

And if you look really closely, you can see my nostrils!! :P
