A Whole New Life

The book I am reading is really encouraging me to find exactly what it is titled - a whole new life. Instead of trying so hard to get my old life back (or something resembling it) I am curious about creating a new life that looks remarkably different - but equally if not more valuable - than all that I've lost.

That being said, I did a pain meditation today. It was great, very easy to do (I think in the past I have been reluctant to try meditation, body self awareness, and progressive muscle relaxation because it seemed so hard and I didn't want to fail at yet another technique that's supposed to work at controlling my pain) and even though my ankle pain didn't feel any different, I felt a lot less tension in other parts of my body that are screaming today. I am making the commitment to keep doing it and see how things progress.

I am also looking at biofeedback.  Reynolds Price used both hypnosis and biofeedback to control his pain. I am amazed at his results.

So after my meditation, I went back to the river and kept working on study #2.  I've discovered that I am going to have to finish it fast because every day the colours of the leaves are changing, and they are already starting to fall.
