In attempt to make my art a bigger serious part of my life, I am entering two paintings in Saskatchewan Wildlife Art Association's annual show Reflections of Nature coming up this weekend.
Work has to be original, of the last 4 years, and cannot be of any domesticated animal. (So, thankfully, my polar bear and my butterfly will not be competing against any cows or horse paintings, which seem to be of abundance in this province!)
I'm putting price tags on both of my entries, and I'm going to enter some framed prints in the silent auction. Artists get 100% of the money selling their entries, and the auction prices are split 50-50 with the association.
I'm not expecting to make any money, I'm mostly interested in getting some feedback from the judges.
I will have to wait and see!
