I'm reading the pain book my pain doctor wrote & I've had a few A HA! moments about pacing.
Pacing isn't about what you accomplished in the task, but how you proceeded to do the task.
It's not just about all the time you were actively doing something, it's about all the times where it appeared that nothing was going on as well.
Seems to me it's just like the new cuttings I planted on Sunday.
The old me would just want to know when they are finally going to get big. Give me a date. Rush, Rush, Rush. Get there how. Hurry up!
So, instead I am trying to honour all of the rest times which are part of growing. I'm not going to see any new growth for days, but I know this "break" is necessary in order for the plant to accomplish the goal of growing.
Just like in my life I need to not just take regular breaks in my daily activities, but to honour those breaks as part of the activity. It's the new way I will get things done.

So... Little cuttings .... No pressure to grow big and tall as fast as you can. I will honour your break periods. I will honour and accept your slow pace. We will get there, and we will celebrate how we did it.
