I have a huge job of needing to weed all of our gardens in the next four days. Since I always seem to have a tendency to do too much and hurt for days afterward, I'm really trying to follow the Chungking instructions given to me by my doctor in his book Rewire Your Pain.
So… I decided to break the weeding into 20 minute sessions. Here's the before picture below is the after.

Even though I wasn't done when the 20 minute alarm went off, I put my trowel down and stopped. I didn't even clean up my mess of pulled weeds or put away my kneeling mat and gloves. I'm happy to say that the next day I am feeling well enough to have done a second 20 min chunk.
I'm excepting that chunking in this case also means I'm not going to get all of the garden weeded by Sunday, so I'm excepting that as my new reality and I'm not going to stress about it. I'm just prioritizing which sections are most important. And I feel really good about this!
