Here's a photo from our first trip to the beach with Onyx. He started out afraid of the water but eventually trusted me enough to follow me in. Now that I've finished this painting, I realize how confused I get with dark areas & light areas. The water should be lighter than me and my dog (yes, I'm holding a coffee cup in my hand)
