Rusty Garden Windmill
I never would have chosen this subject on my own, but my husband thought it would make a great painting. I decided watercolour crayons would allow me to have fun with all the bright colours and patterns of the rust. I am pleasantly surprised with what emerged in less than 2 hours. I deliberately decided to not use a straight edge or a compass - all hand drawn. As a result, it's not perfectly proportioned, but it's not supposed to be. I think it shows the essence of the windmill without the specific details.
