Lesson Fourteen: Light Sources

It's all about solidity ... and it "influences the feel of your finished drawings."
Another simple topic that is easy to do - just move the light source to a different location - but can really make an interesting study.

So, I made 4 very rudimentary sketches.

Then I shaded them according to the amount of shadow. For simplicity sake, I used only 3 shades in the first drawing, and 4 in the second.

My first sketch has the light source to the right.

My second has rear lighting. Very different shadow result! I forgot to do the shadow on the tab le, oops ...

I think I will do more of this tomorrow even tho' I said I would do a different topic each day.
