"Setting up still-life subjects can be time consuming and frustrating when you just want to get on and draw."

There are three things to keep in mind: to rearrange nothing, to use an appropriate medium, and to make the drawings fresh and spontaneous not bogged down in precise detail. So you will notice that one of the balls is defying the laws of gravity, and Motif left her post at one point and didn't return.
I felt absolutely crappy when I started. Pain at 8, very stiff and sore, and unable to concentrate. During the sketching I was able to tune out all the stiffness and complaints in my body, except
my ankle, which is still screaming at me. So I don't know if I was really able to enjoy this. I did not keep the drawings fresh and spontaneous. And I did get frustrated. :( I concentrated on using different lines to achieve tone and texture. Maybe too tough a topic on a day like today.
