My poor broccoli

I just found 43 snails on my veggie plants, all of them smaller than a letter on the keyboard of my opine that I'm using right now. Apparently snails LOVE broccoli. I can't believe they ate this poor plant to sticks! Their next favorite is beans, then beetroot, and they don't seem to care much for eggplant.... But maybe that's only because they have 3 other broccoli plants to devour first.
I don't know if I can nurse this poor guy back to health or if it's time for the compost heap. 😞
