It has been raining super hard for a whole week here in Perth Australia. Finally the sun came out today, and I was so excited I went out into the garden. Next thing I knew, I had been digging and planting and walking around moving heavy things ... Basically doing WAY TOO too much without thinking about my pain levels at all.
Sure enough, by the time my body informed me that I had overdone it, it was too late.
I'm super bad at pacing myself.
I really need to set an alarm for 20 minutes, and actually stop when it goes off. I enjoy gardening so much but my muscles just can't take long sessions and I end up super sore afterwards. 😣
So my goal for the next week is to do exactly that: 20 minutes in the garden, then sit down in the comfy chair or the massage chair for at least another 20 min before I return to my green thumb.
Someone once told me that life will continue to give you the same lesson over and over, no matter how many times you fail, until you pass it.
Seems like I'm a slow learner, but I'm going to keep trying!
